Fundamentals for easy-to-use AV systems.
Seamless. Versatile.
With the right audio-visual (AV) set up, blank rooms can turn into event spaces for hire, conferences rooms for executive board meetings and even break out zones for employees to convene.
What’s a good AV system?
Remember a time when you wished you could see the presentation screen clearly? Or when you could see the presenter talking but their voice was crackling?
A good AV system will capture the attention of all audiences in a way that goes unnoticed.
Every word can be heard
Content is clear from near and far
The system is reliable and supportable
But the real wins? Audiences walk away from conferences, inspired. Board members move on from meetings on time. Family and friends are relaxed and enjoying their celebrations.
What is the right AV set up?
When considering what type of av system to install, there are various factors to consider including.
Some fundamentals to get you started:
Acoustics: audio bounce off bare walls in the room and so panelling or soft furnishings can support a room. This often comes back to how the room will be used. Sound proofing to ensure privacy during meetings or containing loud music during events.
Lighting: the amount of light, and even the colour of walls that light reflects from, will impact the camera image quality
Seating: how will the rooms be set up so that people can see or hear without impairment. Will people be sitting in banquette formation or standing cocktail-style?
Take a walk in the room and assess the size and its current set up with the above in mind. Then, consider how technology plays a part.
